Where does this data come from?
Past hours — model analysis
Hourly temps from the past 12 hours come from Open-Meteo's weather model analysis. Every hour, the model ingests real observations from thousands of ground stations and satellites worldwide, then produces its best estimate of what actually occurred. It's not raw station data, but it's very close — typically within 1–2°C of what a nearby station would record.
Current hour
The most recent model analysis run, updated hourly.
Upcoming hours & days — forecast
Future weather comes from Open-Meteo's GFS/ECMWF ensemble forecast. Accuracy is highest in the next 24 hours and gradually decreases beyond 3–4 days.
Yesterday & past 7 days
Daily summaries also come from Open-Meteo model analysis — the same observation-assimilated data as the hourly strip, just aggregated to daily highs, lows, and totals.
